Michael McDaniel, Brent Winjum, Paul Hardy, and Rodney Olsen
Michael McDaniel, is the Vice-President and General Manager for Compass Resorts. He has over 20 years experience in the hospitality industry with the last 12 years being dedicated to resort management in Destin, Florida. Michael most recently was the General Manager for Abec Resorts. Prior to his departure from Abec in early 2006, Michael managed both the Association and Rental Divisions of Abec Resorts. These two divisions provided association management services to over 600 luxury condominiums set on 31 acres of well manicured common grounds and over 250 vacation rental homes located within Silver Shells Beach Resort and Spa and Silver Beach Towers. Michael had over 120 managers and employees under his supervision. He is a graduate of Francis Marion University and has a Bachelor?s Degree in Business Management.
Brent Winjum, is the Broker of Compass Real Estate of Destin. A resident of Destin since 1995, Brent loves the outdoors. Waterskiing, kayaking, golfing, or just hanging out at the beach with his family, Brent understands why people want to own a piece of the Emerald Coast; it was the same dream that brought him to the area. Brent lives the lifestyle, and he understands the dream. Each person has different needs, different goals. Brent specializes in finding the best property for each family, whether it's rental or non rental, home or condo, vacation property or residential. With nearly $250 million in area sales, Brent's knowledge of the market and exceptional customer service has earned him a place as one of the Emerald Coast's top Realtors.
Paul Hardy, is the Vice-President and Operations Manager for Compass Resorts, he has over 10 years experience in the vacation rental industry and is highly regarded among his industry peers as one of the best property managers in the area. Paul has earned this reputation as a result of his unwavering commitment to the homeowners he serves. Paul worked with Michael at both Abec Resorts and ResortQuest as a senior rental manager and was instrumental in the growth and development of the both those rental programs and played a large role in ensuring the quality care of association common elements. Paul is retired from the United States Air Force having had a distinguished career in logistics. Paul manages all operational aspects of the Compass Resorts rental program. Paul is also a Florida Licensed Community Association Manager.
Rodney Olsen, President and Broker for Compass Resorts, is a Licensed Florida CPA and Real Estate Broker with years of practical experience. Prior to creating Compass Resorts, he was the Chief Financial Officer for over five years for The Becnel Company and was actively involved in the development, sales, and overall management of Silver Shells Beach Resort and Silver Beach Towers. For the five years prior to returning to Destin, he lived and worked in Tampa Florida for PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Manager in their Tax and Legal Services Department. He graduated from the Fisher School of Accounting at the University of Florida with a Bachelor and Master Degree in Accounting.
